The modules can later be exchanged with each other, you only have to remove the disc and then you can pull out the individual modules. With the Combi-20 modules you also have the possibility to unscrew and change the extensions without opening the nest. |

Expandable - Do you know the problem, you have a new ant colony and not the right nest! With these nests, these problems will be a thing of the past. Our nests can be connected to each other and thus there is nothing in the way of enlargement at a later date. Just start small, and if you later realize that you need more space, you can easily attach a second or third nest to one of the openings, expanding the nest. For this purpose, you simply cut a suitable piece of hose to about 22-24mm in length and uses this as an intermediate piece to connect the nests. |

Ventilation System - For even better ventilation, we have designed a module that matches our SimAnts Pro M Nest for maximum airflow. Here was a module equipped with wire mesh which can be inserted directly into the nest and thus has no rejuvenation. To keep the nests of course still so flexible, there is still the possibility to use our old-rate system with the wire mesh caps. Here you can decide freely, if you want to remove the cap later, in order to possibly connect another nest. Of course, you can also reorder the wire mesh caps later, if you realize that your nest is not optimally ventilated.

Connection Modules - By enlarging our Nests and Connection Modules we now have the possibilities to produce a new variety of connection modules. In addition to our well-established connection modules, we have now included a number of modules with a through hole in our range. Here we have already prepared for you the most popular sizes in the shop, these can be found under the menu item Simants Pro Nest -> Pro M Nest Accessories. For example, you also have the option of inserting a temperature sensor into the interior of the nest. If you still have the problem that your desired bore diameter is not available, that's no problem at all. Look under Pro M Nest Accessories for the item "SimAnts Pro M Tubing Module with Bore on Request" and simply enter the diameter you need and we'll take care of the rest. |

| Humidification System - To ensure constant and easy humidification, we have designed a water deposit (free space) under the nest. This is to help you transport the much needed moisture into the nest. For this purpose, a carrier material is poured into the basin which then later stores the water and transported into the interior of the nest. Here you can decide freely whether you want to use cotton, earth, ytong, perlite, sand or other materials as carrier material. In order to be able to moisten the nest later on, small openings were made on four sides of the nest, allowing the substrate to be further moistened. In order to prevent the ants from breaking out through the substrate, the openings in the nest were sealed with gauze. The wire mesh has a 0.2mm mesh size to prevent even the smallest ants from breaking out. |

| Combination - We see a very useful combination here. 2x "SimAnts Pro Nester" coupled with a piece of hose. Both nests are painted with a clay-sand mixture. Then allow to dry and then remove the excess. It's a great way to make the nest interior extremely conductive to moisture. Especially suitable for ant species that like it very humid. By coupling 2-nests, you can create a very humid area and a less humid area by simply filling the lower chamber of the left nest with water. This can also be done with just one nest. But you should be very careful with the addition of water. Even a little too much and the whole lined Nestinnere runs full of water. Therefore, rather slowly fill with water and decide for yourself how much moisture you would like to have in the nest. Conclusion: You can determine the climate and the conditions in "SimAnts Pro Nest" yourself. |

Mold protection - mold is a big enemy of ants. Unfortunately, it is impossible to avoid the formation of mold, but you can prevent the mold danger and this is where we start. By regularly cleaning the water tank and its substrate, the formation of mold can be reduced. To make this possible, you can lift the nest from the base and thus have full access to the water tank and the substrate. The substrate should then be renewed at regular intervals. |
| Heating - Many ants require a higher nest temperature. To make this possible, we have developed a special heating cable mounting module. This module is a device in which a heating cable can be attached to then release the heat to the nest. Here you have the possibility to fix the heating cable at three different heights. You can also use a heating cable in several positions to achieve a higher heat output. It is important to note that the nest itself can not regulate heating capacity. So think about how and with what power (watt) you want to heat the nest. If the nest overheats, it can lead to the death of the ant colony. The nest could be damaged or even burn in the worst case. Therefore, we always recommend a trial run, so you can make sure that you reach the desired temperatures and not exceed. ALWAYS follow the manuals and SAFETY data sheets of the heater manufacturer. Attention: The heating cable mounting module is not included in the standard scope of delivery, also the heating cable must be ordered separately if required. |

Cover - Ants love the darkness in the nest. To meet exactly these requirements, we have developed a cover that protects your ants from light and thus simulates the dark in the ground even better. As a small extra we also offer a red PVC foil for our nests. This is made to fit perfectly, allowing for even more gentle viewing of the nest as you lift the cover off. Please note that this foil does not replace the cover. |
