The Skyline L series is a further development of the Skyline M series and should now give you the opportunity to get even larger colonies in a nest. For this reason, the new L series has not only been increased in height and width, but now also gets a significant oversize in depth. As a result of this change, the L series gains a significant increase compared to the M series.
| New Connection Modules - With the Skyline L series, we also want to introduce our new Combi 20 Base Modules as standard. With these modules, you now have the option of changing the Combi 20 extension connections even during operation. Of course, the Skyline L series is compatible with all other M modules and can be used and used as well. Further connection modules can be found in our shop under the category Pro M / Skyline M Nest accessories. |  |
| Ventilation System - Matching our new Combi 20 - Base modules, there is now also a new Combi - 20 expansion plug with wire mesh (ventilation). This plug can be easily and simply screwed into the base. The advantage of this system is that, should you realize that your ventilation is not sufficient, you can easily expand the system with another plug with gauze (please note that you will need a free Combi 20 - Base module for this, of course) ). Of course, of course, our old rate M modules are compatible with this nest. Of course, you can also use the Pro M connection module with wire mesh with the window open. |  |

Humidification System - To ensure constant and easy humidification, we have constructed a water reservoir (free space) behind the nest. This is to help you transport the much needed moisture into the nest. Here, a carrier material (perlite) is poured into the basin, which later stores the water and transported into the interior of the nest. As with our Skyline S and M models, the Skyline L has an external water tank. The advantage of this system is that the water is drawn into the nest steadily over a longer period of time. So we can prevent unwanted flooding, but offer you a large water supply for long-term watering. Please note that the top opening on the granules container is to be used exclusively for filling granules.
Mold protection - mold is a big enemy of ants! Unfortunately, it is impossible to avoid the formation of mold. But you can prevent the mold danger and this is where we start! By regularly cleaning the water tank and its substrate, the formation of mold can be reduced. To make this possible, you can unscrew the nest from the base and thus have full access to the water tank and the substrate. The substrate should then be renewed at regular intervals.
| Heating (optional) Please note that you must order the heating system separately and is not included in the delivery. Due to the new size, we decided to develop a new heating system. Due to the increased heating power, you now have the option to adjust the temperature elegantly via a temperature control. Here it no longer matters which ambient temperature you have, just set the desired temperature and the controller takes care of the rest. The heating system was built so that it only actively heated the upper half. This creates a warmer climate in the upper area than in the lower area, and the ants have a better chance of finding the ideal temperature for themselves. By using a temperature control, you now have the option of warming the nest to 30 ° C without any problems. The new system was designed so that it can also be retrofitted during operation. All parts that you need to retrofit are mounted to the nest from the outside and the nest does not have to be opened. |

Cover - Ants love the darkness in the nest. To meet exactly these requirements, we have developed a cover that protects your ants from light and thus simulates the dark in the ground even better. To hold the cover securely to the nest, we put it back on a magnet system that holds the cover.
